Forearm Forklift ® Instruction for use

CAUTION

  • The use of back protection, steel-toe shoes and adult supervision is always recommended while attempting/ lifting relatively heavy objects.
  • Attempting/carrying furniture for anybody witth, and/or having historic back pain/problems is not recommended.
  • Before moving furniture, always clear the path chosen for safety.
  • For anti-slipout mode, be sure to X-cross straps underneath furniture that has flat bases. (i.e. with not legs) See Fig. 1
  • Do not use and discard this product when it gets worn, torn or frayed.

To Lift:

  • Lay both straps side by side underneath furniture with strong/sturdy legs (see Fig. 2) or X-cross the straps underneath items that have no legs for anti-slipout mode.(see Fig. 1)
  • Grab ends of strapsindividually, 2 per person, with each hand. (see Fig. 3)
  • With your back straight, bend only slightly at the knees and choose the desired lenght by inserting arms in openings provided to adjust length. (see Fig. 3)
  • Position the arms at 45 degree angles upward from the elbow to the wrist. (see Fig.4)
  • The strap opening chosen should be right at the base of your elbow, but entirely on your forearm. See Fig. 4.
  • Place your hands Directly in front of your shoulder area, palms flat on the piece being carried, all of your fingers pointing upwards. See Fig. 4
  • confirm each other's state of readiness.
  • When ready, lift by straightening legs slowly

To Lower:

  • Find a level and large enough area that can withhold the weight and size of the the item carried.
  • Confirm Each other's state of readiness.
  • With your back still straight, bend slightly at the knees (see Fig. 4) until the item lowered is safely on the floor.
